We often showcase our dedicated carers on our social media pages. Now, we’d like to introduce you to some of the service users who benefit from the care we provide. These are some of our residents from one of our extra cares in Redcar, The Dunes:
Stan and Kath are residents from The Dunes.
Both born in 1951 and originally from Redcar, the two met at school. They have been together since 1967, got married five years later and have been by each other’s side since. Kath and Stan have three children, who have blessed the couple with three grandchildren.
Throughout their time together, they have lived in various parts of the world, primarily due to work. They spent 25 years in Africa while Stan worked for Shell International, and also lived in Oman for several years and in Aberdeen for seven years before returning to Redcar in 2012. They have been residents at The Dunes for six years now and deeply appreciate their carers and all that they do for them.
This is Sylvia and Barbara, two friends who met each other whilst living at The Dunes.
Barbara has been a resident at The Dunes for almost two years and has lived in Redcar her entire life. Barbara spent 30 years working as a finance manager. Whilst working she raised her two children, who have now gifted her with six grandchildren.
Sylvia only moved to The Dunes a couple months ago but has lived in Redcar for the past ten years. Her husband was in the RAF and therefore she has lived in many different places. Like Barabra, Sylvia also worked in finance but for the NHS and she also has two children.
Sylvia and Barbara both expressed that they love the companionship they have at The Dunes and find all their carers to be amazing.
