Creepy Crafts

Toilet roll characters

Halloween toilet roll charactersHalloween is near, and there is plenty of ways to get creative and in the spooky spirit. A fun and easy craft we enjoy is creating toilet roll characters. All you need is some leftover toilet paper rolls, paint, colourful paper, googly eyes and anything else you want to use to give your characters extra personality. You can create anything from creepy monsters to Halloween pumpkins.

Ghost potato stamps

Another Halloween craft we enjoy is Ghost Potato Stamps. You will need some potatoes, white and black paint, and coloured paper. First, cut the potatoes to make a flat edge to stamp. Then dip the potato in white paint and press onto your paper. After the white paint has dried, you can add a face to your ghosts using the black paint.

Halloween Trick or Treats

Toffee ApplesOne of our favourite Halloween treats to make are candy apples, as they are perfect for Halloween parties or bonfire night. You will need 8 apples, 400g caster sugar, 1 tsp of lemon juice, 4 tbsp of golden syrup and 8 sticks. First, remove the apples’ stalks and leave the apples in a bowl of boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Then firmly push the sticks into the apples. Next, pour the sugar into a saucepan and add the lemon juice and 100ml water. Let it simmer until all the sugar has dissolved into the water, then add the golden syrup and simmer again. Turn off the heat and start to dip the apples into the toffee.
